First Successful Bedside CRRT at Peking University Rehabilitation Hospital: A Milestone in Critical Care
Share
On April 9, Peking University Rehabilitation Hospital successfully performed its first bedside Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), marking a significant advancement in critical care capabilities.
The patient, an elderly woman with atrial fibrillation-induced cerebral infarction and chronic renal insufficiency, faced life-threatening conditions. Traditional treatments were insufficient, and CRRT was initiated to stabilize her condition.
Under the leadership of Dr. Junlong Bi and Dr. Min Yang, the medical team developed a tailored treatment plan. Nursing staff closely monitored the patient throughout the procedure, ensuring safety and efficacy.
This successful application of CRRT not only stabilized the patient's condition but also set a precedent for future critical care treatments at the hospital. It underscores the hospital's commitment to integrating advanced technologies and multidisciplinary collaboration to enhance patient outcomes.
